How much will it cost
Fees The Tuition Fee represents approximately one-third of the cost of educating each child. The remaining two thirds is met by a combination of Commonwealth and State recurrent grants and allocations from the Seventh-day Adventist churches in the Greater Sydney area. (Note: Fees are increased annually taking into account the CPI and the All Cost Wage Index.) Tuition Fees for 2007 are: • Pre-Kindy . . . . . . . . . $25 per day (discounts not applicable) • Years K- 6 . . . . . . . . . $863 per term • Years 7-8 . . . . . . . . . . $1,269 per term Year 9.............$1,565 (Fees are to be met by the third week of each term.)
Discounts • Prompt payment of term fees – 2.5% • Payment of fees for full year – 10% • Family discounts will be applied to any family where two or more children are attending: - Two children . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 15% - Three children . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 30% - Four children . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 40% - Fifth and subsequent children. . . Free A fee discount applies for families who are members of a Seventh-day Adventist Church and therefore contribute to the cost of operating the school through church and Conference appropriations. Rebate on Fees School Community Development incentive. Any of our currently enrolled families will be able to claim a rebate of $550 on their fees, if that family brings another family into the school. The current school family will receive their rebate incrementally over the year providing the new family remains in the school. This incentive is not limited. You are able to bring as many families into our school as you are able.
Other Charges • Activity Fee This covers the cost of stationery items, exercise books, art requirements and most craft materials, as well as sports such as swimming, gymnastics and tennis, and some excursions. - Pre-Kindy . . . . $100 per student per term - Years K-6 . . . . . $65 per student per term - Years 7-8. . . . . . $95 per student per term • IT Fee $15 per term • Bus Fee $150 per student per term (dependent on use of bus) • Home and School Fee $15 per family per year • Music Tuition $50 per student per term (where elected) (These are the charges listed for 2006. All charges are subject to change each year.) Special Cases A small number of places are available for students whose parents cannot meet the total cost of fees. The terms of admission of children in these circumstances are entirely at the discretion of the School Council. Scholarships • ACER Academic Scholarships are awarded at two levels: - Level 1 scholarships are for students entering at Year 5. - Level 2 scholarships are for entry into Year 7. The ACER Scholarships Assessment is sat during May of each year for the following year’s scholarships.
What is involved in getting a scholarship?
• School Academic and Music Scholarships are available for each year of Years 4 – 10. • What standard is expected for scholarships? Students awarded a scholarship will be students of exceptional ability. Both full and part-time scholarships are awarded each year. Only students who are able to fit the criteria for the scholarships will be awarded such. More details about scholarships can be obtained from the school or the website.
