At Macarthur Adventist School we have created an environment in which your child can feel safe, valued and supported, an environment which is inclusive and tolerant. The foundation of our approach to educating your child is our secure and nurturing school environment. We create this environment through appreciation for individual needs, respect for the children in our care and support for their values and opinions.
Through this approach your child will reach their full potential whilst developing self-esteem and an appreciation for the needs of others. To ensure a nurturing and caring school environment for your child, Macarthur Adventist School builds its foundations on the following principles: Care Our pastoral care program, Christian counseling, school chaplain and peer support program offers many avenues to ensure that your child is emotionally supported in all aspects of school life. Community At Macarthur Adventist school we welcome the support and involvement of parents within the school. We encourage parents to become part of the school community, further boosting support for your child. We hold a few special events throughout the year including Open Days, for our local community to find out more about the special qualities of our school. Early in the year we hold a special night when parents can come and meet their child's teacher. Our parent/teacher nights that are held a few times a year are a great opportunity for parents to talk to the teacher about their child's progress. Safety and convenience The safety of your child is paramount at Macarthur Adventist School. Our school owns and operates several bus services for convenient, safe travel. Individual attention Our enviable student-teacher ratios allow our teachers to get to know your child as an individual. Our team combines the enthusiasm of youth with dedication and experience to provide a well-rounded and targeted approach to teaching your child. Because of school size – each teacher can monitor each child. This way the teacher has the opportunity to know the child's personality, growth and development needs. Our teachers interact with the children in the playground, and because of school size, teachers are familiar with the students before they arrive at the next grade.
